Alarm Industry Names Professional Technician of the Year

Sean Giannini of Mule Security Systems, Inc., Meriden, CT was named the “2002 Professional Alarm Technician of the Year” by the Connecticut Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (CBFAA). Mr. Giannini was honored by his peers at the Association’s Annual Membership EXPO, and received a plaque that read, “In recognition of outstanding skills and exceptional leadership.”
In nominating Sean for this award, Bob Mule, president of the firm, stated, “Sean is well versed in all aspects of the services Mule Security offers from residential and commercial electric wiring to the specialty fields of security and fire alarm installation, data and voice systems, surveillance cameras, and home entertainment systems. He takes pride in his work and always goes the extra mile to maintain the highest standards. His top priority is customer satisfaction and, as a supervisor, he reinforces this ethic with our technicians.”
Beginning his career with Mule in 1989 as part of the Cooperative Work Experience Program at Wilcox Technical High School, Sean worked through the State’s electrical apprenticeship program and achieved his Master Electrician License in 1999.
In his acceptance speech, Sean thanked his employer for his encouragement and support to help him achieve his goals. “It was a long road from being a part-time ‘student’ employee to Service Manager.”
Asked about a project that gave him particular job satisfaction, Sean cited the installation of a commercial fire alarm system at CUNO, Inc., a manufacturer of fluid purification filters. “It took three months to complete the installation and was one of the most advanced fire systems we’d worked on.” Complete customer satisfaction, evidenced by a thank-you letter from CUNO’s Environmental Health Facilities Manager, made his journey worthwhile.
A lifetime resident of Wallingford, Connecticut, Sean is married to Colleen and father to new daughter, Chelsea.
